Passion + practice will get you over the hump

Freeport, IL - Kelvin McIlwain from the Stephenson County Toastmasters came and spoke about how Toastmasters can help you prepare in a safe environment how to speak in public arenas, give sales pitches, and effectively persuade someone, maybe an investor to invest in your new product. One of the key factors was to practice and if you are speaking about something you are passionate about will only make it easier, and since most of us in the club created our own business and in some cases created an entirely new product/service, we are naturally going to be the best person to talk about it (just remember all the long nights working on your idea and the stress it created at home - just remember that and tell your story).

If you would like more information about the Stephenson County Toastmasters, please contact Kelvin at 815.266.5528.

Our next club meeting will be March 22 @ 6PM at the Sterling Incubator.

Mark Pichik and Christy Tvrdik of Retract-A-Gate show off their popular safety gate to the club. Business is booming for them. If you want to see what they are all about check out there website.
